BAS lodged on time, coded correctly.

Quarterly or monthly BAS prepared, reviewed and lodged by registered BAS Agents — with the extra weeks agents get, and a check on the GST coding before it becomes an amendment.

When is BAS due, and what does a BAS agent change?

Quarterly BAS is due 28 October, 28 February, 28 April and 28 July. Lodging through a registered BAS or Tax Agent generally adds around four weeks to those dates (the December quarter already carries an extended date), and monthly lodgers report by the 21st of the following month. Beyond the extra time, an agent's real value is catching the errors that cause amendments and audits: GST claimed on GST-free supplies, missing PAYG withholding, wrong treatment of hire purchase and finance, and BAS that doesn't reconcile to the accounts.

  • From $165 per quarter
  • Extended agent lodgement dates
  • GST coding reviewed before lodgement
  • Overdue BAS brought up to date

Why us

What you get working with us.

Extra weeks, legitimately

The agent lodgement program gives around four extra weeks each quarter — useful when cash timing is tight, and free with the service.

Reconciled, not estimated

Every BAS is reconciled to the accounts and to your ATO integrated client account, so the figures agree with what the ATO already holds.

Coding errors caught early

GST-free food lines, financial supplies, hire purchase, insurance, imports and government charges are where BAS goes wrong. We check them.

Overdue BAS handled

Multiple outstanding quarters reconstructed and lodged in sequence, with penalty remission requested where there's a reasonable explanation.

Overdue quarters reconstructed and lodged in order, plus payment arrangement negotiation where there's a balance owing.

FAQ

Questions we're asked most.

What are the BAS due dates?

Quarterly: 28 October (Jul–Sep), 28 February (Oct–Dec), 28 April (Jan–Mar) and 28 July (Apr–Jun). Monthly lodgers report by the 21st of the following month. Through a registered agent, the quarterly dates generally extend by about four weeks except the December quarter, which already sits at 28 February.

What happens if I lodge or pay late?

Failure-to-lodge penalties accrue in units per 28-day period, and the general interest charge applies to unpaid amounts — and from income years starting 1 July 2025, that interest is no longer deductible. Lodging on time even when you can't pay is almost always the right move: it avoids the penalty and lets us negotiate a payment arrangement on the balance.

Can I lodge BAS myself?

Yes, through the Business Portal or your software. The case for an agent is the extended due date, the coding review, and having someone accountable for the reconciliation. If your business is simple and your coding is disciplined, self-lodging is perfectly reasonable.

Why doesn't my BAS match my accounts?

The usual culprits: transactions coded after the BAS was lodged, GST on GST-free or input-taxed items, hire purchase and finance treated as ordinary purchases, private use not apportioned, and cash-versus-accrual mismatches. We reconcile the GST control accounts each period so the gap is found and explained rather than carried forward.

I have four quarters outstanding. What now?

We reconstruct the periods, lodge them in sequence, and deal with the ATO on penalties and payment. It's common work, and coming forward voluntarily produces materially better outcomes than waiting for a default assessment or a director penalty notice.

Do you handle IAS as well?

Yes — instalment activity statements for PAYG withholding or instalments where GST isn't reported in the same period, on the same fixed-fee basis.
